Developed by the Roman Catholic Church, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process and a journey for those who have been stirred by the Holy Spirit to inquire about the Catholic Faith. Following the ancient practice of the Church, RCIA is designed to help us grow closer to God and the Church through study and exploration of Church teachings, faith formation through the Sacred Scripture and the Sacraments and in sharing and asking questions we may have about the faith.
Catechumens are those who have not been baptized and are seeking initiation through the Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion. Candidates are those who have been baptized into a Christian tradition and seek to be initiated into the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

RCIA is ongoing and involves the entire Church community. Everyone is invited and welcome to participate and learn more about and grow deeper in their faith.
